As you can see my blogging career was short and sweet! It wasn't through lack of anecdotes to share either - each week has generally brought something memorable. No, it just became one more thing to fit in.

So why am I back on line? Because I am going to do the CoreEd  #EdBlogNZ Challenge. You can join up on this page.  (copy and paste the link) They are challenging all NZ Teachers to start blogging! You can  be a complete beginner right up to expert. Anyway, I'm going to take the challenge - so expert to hear a bit more from me.

I'm looking forward to the school holidays. Today we had a shared lunch - I 'shouted' hot dogs for the class! My students always impress me with their good manners around food. No one goes near the food until we say the Karakia Kai and then they line up quietly and sensibly. It was an enjoyable way to spend some time with the class.

Tomorrow the three year 8 classes are going to have the opportunity to watch a video together. I'm showing Whale Rider which is always popular. Our tamariki will be able to choose which video they want to watch and go to that class. Something different for a last day of term. I'm wondering if I will get more girls because the protagonist in the movie is a girl. We shall wait and see.

One week to go..

ERO is due in one week! I'm off work sick. Bad, bad timing.

Ironic that in this digital age we must have paper copies available of everything! I've sacrificed at least one forest and three printer cartridges to have copies of all planning, assessments and reports. Warehouse Stationery will also post record profits this quarter as I have made several visits buying up folders, dividers, plastic sleeves and storage boxes!

Hopefully back at work Monday. Up-to-date and mind-blowingly awesome by Friday!
